Judging Criteria

THE LAGOTTO ROMAGNOLO CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN
Guideline Judging Criteria as at 31 December 2015

For several years the LRCGB worked towards constructing judging lists for the day when Lagotto were transferred to the full register. That day came on April 1st this year (2015). Producing judging criteria and lists for a breed so recently out of import classes is challenging. The following requirements are subject to annual review and it is likely that as the numbers of Lagotto being shown increase, the required numbers of dogs and classes will be revised upwards. However in order to be able to provide judging lists for the next few years, certain criteria will be in abeyance until 31.12.2018. At that time, the lists will be reviewed and judges who do not meet the criteria in place on the review date will be moved to the applicable list.

It is hoped that with over three years to accrue numbers, classes and complete other required criteria, the number of judges having to be moved will be minimal. Therefore (with the exception of new applications and existing judges who qualify for a higher list) it is envisaged that the current lists will remain in place until 31.12.2018.

The Club maintains A3 lists as we are occasionally asked to comment on a UK judge's suitability to judge classes of Lagotto outside the UK. Also to indicate those judges who already award the equivalent of Challenge Certificates and to include the foremost Italian judges of our breed.
