The one I bought is called professional groomer II comb,it's 19cm or 7.1/2ins long and the teeth are 3cm or 1.1/4ins long and it doesn't have a handle. the teeth are closer together on one end than the other, I paid $26.95 Aus which converts to 16 pounds so I think they're better priced in the UK than here , hope this makes sense,

Sounds like Lottie she is a mud magnet! I give in trying to keep her clean, now just let it dry and drop off! When she was a tiny pup she was brown and a brillant white!now its brown and muddy white.

I try to groom Chester every day, but sometimes I forget. I too find this area a problem. I think it is bits of food getting stuck, and you can separate the fur - but you need two hands to do it without hurting the dog. You simply ease the fur apart. But you need four hands! So get someone to hold the dogs head while you part the fur.

My friend recently brought her dog to the house and when I produced the grooming brush Chester started the bounce around, very eager for a groom. The other dog ran away and hid!
