The only way I found to prevent the chewing is to keep an eye on the puppy at all times. When I couldn't i put him in his crate, or garden - with reinforced hedges and fences

Oh he really did, I haven't had much luck at the beach with the swim - dig routine yet, that dried smelly seaweed is just to irresistible, he just has to chase it and throw it up and catch it with his paws.Does Chester hold things with his paws? Charlie is very cat like the way he holds and catches toys with his.I've got some nice smelly blue cheese left over so I'm going to bury that and see what happens

Hi Marianne, yes Chester seems to be much more dexterous with his paws than my Dalmatian was. We have a 4ft tall baby gate that requires you to press a button and hold it down and then lift a handle to open the gate. We have never seen it do it, but he does manage to open it somehow!

Yes we have started to put her in her crate if she is left unattended for any lenght of time now . She is very clever if its not bed time its a chase around before she will go in!!!
